Nathan Johnson Selected as Bush Foundation Fellow

Architectural Technology faculty member Nathan Johnson was selected as one of the Bush Foundation’s 2021 Fellows, a group of visionary individuals who are leading transformative change in their communities.

The Bush Fellowship provides Fellows with up to $100,000 over 12 to 24 months to pursue education and learning experiences that help them develop the skills and relationships to foster large-scale change in their communities and region. Each individual selected is seeking to be a stronger leader and greater force for justice and equity.

RaiseMe and Minneapolis College Break Barriers

High school students will earn college scholarships for community engagement and interpersonal development.

RaiseMe, a college-readiness platform focused on expanding access to higher education, particularly among first-generation and low-income students, announces a pilot partnership with Minneapolis College. This new venture provides affordable pathways to higher education and propels students to discover and achieve their college ambitions.

Gene Haas Foundation Awards $10,000

Students at Minneapolis College will have increased financial support as they pursue manufacturing education and training.

The Gene Haas Foundation has awarded Minneapolis College \$10,000 in grants to support student scholarships and machining and manufacturing engineering program needs. Since 2019, Minneapolis College has received \$20,000.

The College offers courses in Machine Tool Technology, learning the manual machine basics and advancing through the CNC machining programming, setup and operation processes.

Student Life Outdoor Adventures Program

The Student Life Department is excited to announce the return of its Outdoor Adventures Program.

This program provides students at Minneapolis College with the chance to step outside of their comfort zones and engage in various outdoor activities in the Greater Minneapolis–St. Paul area, free of charge. These activities are meant to promote personal health and wellness, team building and community building amongst the student body.
