1. Apply to Minneapolis College

2. Register for Classes
- Log in to eServices using your starID and password and register for courses
- Advising Assistance is available in person and virtually.
3. Complete Orientation
- Log in to your Minneapolis College online orientation account and upon login, click on New Student Orientation. Complete all lessons.
- Username: StarID@go.minnstate.edu
- Password: StarID password
- Note: it may take up to 24 hours after registering for classes to gain access to the New Student Orientation.
- Attend a First Light Orientation program to become more familiar with campus, your academic program, student technology systems, and campus resources and involvement opportunities. Details and registration are available here.
4. Activate Minneapolis College Email
- Log in to your Minneapolis College email account:
- Go to the Current Students webpage and from the green bar, select "Email"
- Username: StarID@go.minnstate.edu (this is not your email address)
- Password: StarID password

- Your email address is different than your username and cannot be used as the username to sign in to your email account. View your email address at https://myaccount.microsoft.com
- Note: it may take up to 24 hours after registering for classes to gain access to your Minneapolis College email account.
5. Pay for College
- Spring 2025 Tuition Due Date: December 19, 2024
- There are several options to meet this due date: Tuition Payment Options
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA); assistance available from TRIO Educational Opportunity Center
- Check eServices for additional financial aid steps and to review and accept your award
- Apply for Scholarships
6. Prepare to Begin the Semester
- Order textbooks and course supplies from the College Store
- Obtain Campus ID Card
- Attend a D2L Workshop and complete the Sexual Violence Prevention Training workshop by logging into D2L (in the top right corner, click the "Select a Course" widget to find the workshop).
7. Have a Successful Semester
- Use the Current Students webpage for quick access to check your college email and D2L Brightspace daily, as well as for updates on college activities and resources
- Read your syllabus for each class and attend your instructors' office hours
- Utilize student success workshops and tutoring for academic support through the semester.
