How Your Classes Are Taught
Minneapolis College offers different ways to take classes to fit your schedule and learning style. Not sure which option is right for you? Meet with an advisor before you register.
- In Person / On Campus: class meets in person, on campus on the days and times listed on the schedule.
- Completely Online - Asynchronous: class is held in D2L. Students are not required to be logged into the course on a specific day or at a specific time, though they are expected to meet all published due dates and deadlines for coursework.
- Completely Online - Synchronous: class is held on D2L and through virtual formats (example: Zoom). Students are required to be logged into the virtual classroom on the days and times listed on the schedule.
- Blended / Hybrid: class meets in person, on campus on the days and times listed on the schedule, along with 25 - 75% of course instruction being held online.
- Mostly Online: the majority of instruction is delivered online with limited on-campus meetings. The days and times on the schedule are the days students are required to be in person, on campus.
- Hyflex: class is offered in-person with remote synchronous and/or remote asynchronous options.
