What is a StarID?
StarID is a single username that allows you to log into any of your technology accounts at Minneapolis College and within the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (Minnesota State) system. The StarID format consists of two letters followed by four numbers, followed by two letters. Once you activate your StarID, you can use it at every participating Minnesota State institution.
When will I use my StarID?
- eServices: course registration, bills and payment, financial aid, grades, unofficial transcripts, and degree audit reports
- Minneapolis College student email: Your Minneapolis College email account (@go.minneapolis.edu) is used for all official communication with the college
- Campus computers: many computers on campus require you to log in with your StarID
- D2L Brightspace: the online learning environment used for online, blended, and many on-campus courses
If you attended Minneapolis College or another Minnesota State college/university prior to August 12, 2013 and are now returning, you will need to activate your StarID.
