The buzz and vibrancy of our metropolitan setting fills the halls and learning spaces of Minneapolis College, creating a learning environment of energy and opportunity. Our spacious campus, adjacent to Loring Park, covers 21.6 acres. Mass transit along with walkways, bikeways and neighboring streets and freeways make getting to our campus a breeze.

many origins, one community

We're one of the most diverse college campuses in Minnesota. More than 70 percent of our student body identifies as people of color, American Indian, two or more races, international, low income or first generation. At Minneapolis College we strive to eliminate barriers, build bridges, and cross them together.

a history of education

Created in 1996, and a member of Minnesota State, Minneapolis College is the result of the merger of two institutions: a technical college with a long history of vocational education dating back to 1914 and an open-enrollment community college established in 1965.
