High School and Community Visits
We visit many high schools throughout the Twin Cities and have a number of partnerships with schools through our Power of YOU, K-12 Connections and TRIO programs.
Please contact your school Career Center or Guidance Office to find out when we'll be on your campus or to ask for a group tour of Minneapolis College.
We also attend events in the local community to provide information regarding our educational programs, admission process and to answer any questions you may have about the college. Group Visits on Campus
We would love for your high school group or organization to learn more about Minneapolis College! If you are part of a group preparing students for the transition to college and would like to arrange for a Group Visit, please complete our form for Group Visit Requests.
Guidelines for Group Visit Requests
The group organizer must complete this group visit request form at least three weeks prior to the desired date of the group visit.
- You will receive a response by email within three to five business days regarding our availability to accommodate your request.
- It is required that one chaperone must be provided for every ten students visiting and each group visit session has a maximum student capacity of 40 students.
- Group Visits are designed for students who have an interest in Minneapolis College.
- Our campus tours last approximately 60 minutes and do require a substantial amount of walking. Please notify us in advance if any member of your group requires a wheelchair or other accommodations.
- In the event that you must cancel or reschedule your visit, please provide 48-hours notice.
- Chaperones must review the following Code of Conduct for Student Visitors and communicate this Code of Conduct to students prior to coming to campus.
Code of Conduct for Student Visitors
- During the campus tour and/or information session, please give your full respect to members of the Minneapolis College campus; all electronics (cell phones, etc.) should be turned off or put away. Headphones should not be visible.
- Visitors should be respectful to the campus staff, property, and abide by all Minneapolis College policies.
- Visitors are required to stay together as a group with the tour guide(s).
- Students should be prepared to do a substantial amount of walking, dress appropriately for the weather conditions, and wear appropriate shoes.
- Unruly or disrespectful behavior will result in the termination of your visit. Please note that future visits from your school will then require special review.
