TRIO Programs

MN Education Opportunity Center (EOC) is a FREE educational outreach program that helps eligible adults in Minnesota metro area pursue a college education and/or training. EOC is funded by the U.S. Department of Education, Title IV, TRIO programs.

Through EOC you can:

• Apply for admission and financial aid
• Examine career options
• Choose a college or training program
• Get referrals to Social Services
• Search for scholarships
• Resolve student loan issues (for potential students only)
• Arrange EOC workshops on pursuing postsecondary education, financial aid (FAFSA) and career decision making process.

Funded by the federal government, TRIO Starting Point (Student Support Services) provides support, services and resources to help students succeed in college and graduate or transfer.

Services include:

• Advising (academic, financial, transfer, career)
• Professional Tutoring
• Leadership & Cultural Opportunities

To qualify for Starting Point, students must be enrolled at Minneapolis College, have an academic need, and be:

• Low-income (with proof of income status) or
• First-generation (neither parent has a bachelor’s degree) or
• Have a disability (with proof of documented disability)
