Waheed Madad Khan Receives M. Welter World Citizen Award

Waheed Madad Khan is one of 22 students nominated and will now receive a $500 Mark M. Welter World Citizen Award for the 2020 spring semester.

The purpose of the Mark M. Welter World Citizen Award is to provide a tribute to Minnesota State students who most exemplify the thoughts, words and actions demanded by a 21st century world citizen.

Mohamed Receives Walgreens Pharmacy Technician Scholarship

Mohamed has been awarded a scholarship to cover the cost of the Pharmacy Technician Certification exam fee from Walgreens and Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.

The new Walgreens Pharmacy Technician Certification Scholarship recognizes Phi Theta Kappa members who are enrolled in Allied Health or Pharmacy Technician programs and intend to take the Pharmacy Technician Certification exam. Mohamed is one of 35 students selected to receive this award.

Prepare for a Career in Information Technology at Minneapolis College

In the School of Information Technology at Minneapolis College, more than 500 students from diverse backgrounds are enrolled in programs to build their knowledge and skills in programming, software development, network administration and computer forensics. Upon graduation, they will become skillful professionals who are sought after by national and regional business and industry. 

“Many of our students move into great careers after earning their degrees or certificates,” said Ben Weng, dean of the School of Information Technology.
