Waheed Madad Khan is one of 22 students nominated and will now receive a $500 Mark M. Welter World Citizen Award for the 2020 spring semester.

The purpose of the Mark M. Welter World Citizen Award is to provide a tribute to Minnesota State students who most exemplify the thoughts, words and actions demanded by a 21st century world citizen.

Mohamed has been awarded a scholarship to cover the cost of the Pharmacy Technician Certification exam fee from Walgreens and Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.

The new Walgreens Pharmacy Technician Certification Scholarship recognizes Phi Theta Kappa members who are enrolled in Allied Health or Pharmacy Technician programs and intend to take the Pharmacy Technician Certification exam. Mohamed is one of 35 students selected to receive this award.

Minneapolis College is pleased to announcement the appointment of Beverly Wadsworth as Director of Community Relations, Advancement and Foundation.

In this position, Wadsworth will develop and provide leadership for a comprehensive community awareness and advancement program. Closing educational equity gaps in the community is a top priority.
