“The local and national events that have taken place during the past year have demonstrated that now, more than ever, we need to care for and uplift each other,” said Dean John Ford.

“The School of Education and Public & Human Service at Minneapolis College offers a range of degree and certificate programs that will prepare you to work in a variety of occupations aimed for education and public service. You will learn skills and obtain credentials to bring learning, health, safety and security to individuals and communities.”

The School of Education and Public & Human Service includes programs that offer both direct services and the systems that support these services to people. The common theme is healing and helping. “The programs in the School of Education and Public & Human Service lead to respected, sustainable careers and the opportunity to do good and do well,” said Dean Ford.

“The only way our community can stay healthy is if there are people who are actually of the community in the community working to ensure needs are met,” said Minneapolis College President Sharon Pierce, who affirms the College’s commitment to equity, inclusion and supporting the success of all of our community members.

“One of the ways you can do that naturally is through the helping professions. The School of Education and Public & Human Service programs are rooted in the human experience and prepare students to impact change.”
