Beginning his journey at Minneapolis College in early October of 2020 as the new Student Activities Coordinator, Tonny Yang was eager to immerse himself in his new community. “To me community is a place you can be 100 percent you, yourself, and not be shamed for being yourself and for being authentic,” said Yang. “It’s being seen, heard and trusted. It’s a place where people empower you, build love and challenge you to grow.”

As every aspect of our lives changes around us and we seek new ways to adapt to our surroundings and reach our goals, Minneapolis College is quickly shifting to meet the needs of students by streamlining its transfer pathways.

“We have always been known as a transfer-friendly institution,” said Heidi Aldes, interim dean, enrollment management at Minneapolis College. “We are now seeking ways to make it even easier to transfer to and from the college so you can reach your educational goals with ease.”
