Minneapolis College Sustainability Committee in partnership with the Urban Farm Collective is presenting the first in a new speaker series titled, “Community Pollinators.”

This speaker series will focus on the confluence of racial justice and environmental justice and seeks to amplify the voices of community leaders who “pollinate” our communities through education and application of sustainable practices.

The first guest in this series is a former student of Minneapolis College, Hindolo Pokawa. Pokawa is the founder and executive director of the Sierra Leone Foundation for New Democracy (SLFND). SLFND provides culturally-specific and environmentally-focused programming for children and adults, including early childhood education and training for adults in regenerative farming practices including Permaculture in Sierra Leone.
