In 2018, the College launched its comprehensive brand identity system, with a new brand platform, look, and logo. Now, five years later, the logo has been further updated for clarity and consistency. The logo/name “Minneapolis College” will be used for branding purposes, while the full name “Minneapolis Community and Technical College” will be reserved for formal/legal purposes.

Bobbie Denson Davis Named Vice President of Human Resources

Bobbie Denson Davis has been appointed to the position of Vice President of Human Resources and Workforce Equity at Minneapolis College, effective July 1, 2023. 

Davis came to Minneapolis College in 2011 with 18 years of experience in corporate human resources. She served as Interim Vice President of Human Resources for three months during 2022 and currently serves as Human Resources Manager. 

Tony Zahler Named Vice President of Information Technology Services

Tony Zahler was appointed as Vice President of Information Technology Services at Minneapolis College in January 2023. In this role he provides leadership, management, and supervision to the College’s Information Technology Services division. Zahler has more than 14 years of experience in higher education, including 10 years at Century College as lead application developer, working on a wide array of projects and applications for the campus and other Minnesota State institutions.

BOT Pathway Program Enhances Career Prospects for Grads

For dozens of people wanting to make a career change or be employed in an in-demand field, the Building Operations Technician (BOT) program, a partnership between Minneapolis College Continuing Education and Workforce Development (CEWD) and Project for Pride in Living (PPL), has led to well-paying jobs with benefits and career growth opportunities. The seventh BOT cohort is currently underway and due to graduate in May.

Neurodiverse Student Demian Reith Wins Hackathon Brand Identity Contest

Minneapolis College Graphic Design student Demian Reith’s logo design was chosen by a panel of judges from U.S. Bank as the brand identity for the 2023 US Bank Hackathon, a competition centered around building a finance-related application that helps students manage their money in a fast-paced, competitive learning environment. Students from the Graphic Design and Web Design Department were invited to submit designs that reflected the event for use in marketing and promotional materials.
