A Bright and Promising Future

At the end of the academic year, we often look back at our experiences as a community. This year, it is important for us to look forward, as well. Reflecting on our challenges and accomplishments, I am filled with pride. Focusing on what they mean for our future, I am filled with excitement for what lies ahead.

I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to our faculty and staff for their unwavering commitment to our mission. Your passion for education, innovative teaching methods, and support for our students continue to make a lasting impact on our campus community. Without your dedication and hard work, our students' success would not be possible.

This academic year, your ideas and actions were critical as we worked together toward balancing our budget and achieving financial stability; sustaining our enrollment growth while meeting the challenge of fraudulent applications; preparing for the transition to Workday; orchestrating campus improvements, including the T Building level two student support areas; keeping the Management Education Center renovation on schedule and on budget; rallying around Minnesota State’s legislative request for funding; developing a First Year Experience program and in-person orientation; opening the TREC Resource Center on campus; and working together to streamline our budget and strategic planning processes.

These are just a handful of examples of the amazing work that has happened. We’ve accomplished so much!

Collaborative efforts like these play a big role in moving our college forward. Because of your hard work and dedication, we end this academic year on a high note.

As we celebrate the accomplishments of our graduating students on May 13th, let us also take a moment to reflect on the contributions of everyone who is part of our Minneapolis College family—faculty, staff, students, community partners, donors, and friends. It takes all of us to create a supportive and inclusive environment where learning thrives, and where dreams are realized.

As we embrace spring and welcome summer, I see a bright and promising future. Together, anything is possible.
