Welcome to Minneapolis College! Destination; Diploma to Degree-D3 tenth grade students may register for one CTE (Career and Technical Education) course during their first semester enrolled. If they take a course during the fall, spring or summer semester and receive a letter grade of a “C” or higher, they may take one more CTE course during next semester. Classes can be taken online or in-person and students are required to meet course prerequisites in order to register.
*A prerequisite is a requirement that a student must complete before enrolling in a course. Prerequisites can include GPA and criteria established by faculty to ensure a student is prepared to be successful in a course.

To apply to become a D3 scholar you will need to meet the following requirements:
- You are a current 10th, 11th or 12th grade student
- You are enrolled in an approved ALC: American Indian OIC; Broadway High School; Loring Nicollet Alternative School; Menlo Park Academy; MERC Alternative High School; Tatanka Academy; VOA High School; Edison High School (school within a school only); Wellstone High School (school within a school only); Henry High School (school within a school); Highview ALC; Brooklyn Center ALC; Metro Heights Academy; Mounds View ALC; Mounds View Adult Education; PYC Arts and Tech High School
- You have not used up your PSEO eligibility at another school

Margot Howard is the official assigned D3 Advisor at Minneapolis College; she works with ALL D3 students on campus.
- All Non-MPS ALC D3 Students are required to check in with Margot 2X’s each semester
- Margot assists with D3 student success at Minneapolis College in the following ways:
- Assists with D3 Orientation
- Conducts all aspects of College Advising and Student Support
- Conducts all course registration
- Explains and assists D3ers with understanding College Policy and Procedures
- Creates relationship for D3ers who will matriculate into POY
- Assists students in exploring and navigating College majors
Minneapolis Public Schools ALC on site D3 Counselor

Nicole Thomas is the D3 Counselor on campus for all Minneapolis Public School ALC sites.
- MPS D3 Students are required to check in with Nicole 2X’s each semester
- Nicole assists with areas of success related to the ALC and Minneapolis College in the following ways:
- Program recruitment and Orientation
- Student Star ID activation
- 1st & 2nd semester course registration
- Student social acclimation to the college
- High School to College course equivalency
- Assists with matriculation into Minneapolis College and/or POY
- College transcript retrieval and other areas of student support
