The intercultural Development Inventory is a 50-item questionnaire designed to measure one’s ability to effectively navigate through cultural differences.

The Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) is a tool used to measure an individual’s or group’s developmental level of intercultural competence, “the capability to shift cultural perspective and appropriately adapt behavior to cultural differences and commonalities.”  The IDI is a 50-item questionnaire available online that can be completed in 15–20 minutes. Below is a short introductory video with more information about the assessment:

Upon completion of the assessment, you will be contacted by one of the college’s Qualified Administrators (QA) to schedule a debriefing session. During your session, a QA will review and help to interpret the results of your assessment and work with you to develop an Intercultural Development Plan (IDP). All information discussed during this session is completely confidential.
