Minneapolis College Transforming to Continue Serving Students
Spring semester resumes March 30.
Amidst great change, Minneapolis College remains committed to its mission to provide access to the transformative power of education.
The past few weeks have been a whirlwind of activity with many changes occurring quickly. College staff and faculty have been working innovatively to prepare to support students in new ways as spring semester continues March 30. To protect the health and safety of the entire campus community, most classes and services are now available remotely. The activities that cannot be delivered remotely will resume March 30 on campus in a thoughtful manner exercising careful social distancing and by implementing additional cleaning.
The amount of change the community has experienced in a short period of time is staggering. The COVID-19 pandemic has fundamentally changed our lives. There remain many unknowns and our student-focused decision-making continues. Our website, Minneapolis.edu, has become our new “front door” for our campus community. And, through that front door, we will continue our tradition, since 1914, of serving the community with high quality instruction packaged with abundant and greatly needed services and resources.
As the college continues its transformation in response to the pandemic, we remain focused on our role in helping students transform their lives through their academic pursuits. Our graduates will be a critical asset to the region as it recovers from this crisis. Together, the resilience our campus community is known for will go on transforming lives, the community and the world.
Thank you for being part of the Minneapolis College community!
Best wishes,
President Sharon Pierce
