Exploratory Major: Science
Purpose:
The School of Science and Mathematics offers awards through degrees in several educational programs. If you are not sure what you plan to major in, use this Exploratory Major guide to pick courses that count toward multiple different programs. This will allow you to begin earning credits toward a degree, even while you figure out which option is best for you.

All students pursuing this exploratory major should work closely with their advisor to ensure proper selection of the exploratory courses. This guide must be used in conjunction with the current College Catalog and the official degree audit for the specific awards.
Begin your education at Minneapolis College with these courses as they will count toward the awards in the School of Science and Mathematics:

Biology 1
- 4 credits
* BIOL 2200 will count toward the Biology Transfer Pathway and the Chemistry (non-transfer pathway) A.S. degree.
CHEM 1151
Principles of Chemistry 1
- 5 credits
MATH Course
Choose any College-Level Math course that fulfills MnTC Goal Area 4.
