Bobbie Denson Davis Named Vice President of Human Resources

Bobbie Denson Davis has been appointed to the position of Vice President of Human Resources and Workforce Equity at Minneapolis College, effective July 1, 2023. 

Davis came to Minneapolis College in 2011 with 18 years of experience in corporate human resources. She served as Interim Vice President of Human Resources for three months during 2022 and currently serves as Human Resources Manager. 

Davis is known for her transparency and her commitment to keeping her peers informed about human resources matters, and for setting clear expectations for the HR team. Her extensive experience in human resources, as well as her demonstrated ability to build partnerships across the College, makes her an excellent choice to lead the Human Resources division. 

In 2022 Davis received the Minnesota State HR All Star Award for ethical, compassionate, and experienced leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic. In this time of crisis, she demonstrated the ability to move through challenges to ensure that Minneapolis College Human Resources ran smoothly. She provided outstanding support to her team, which went above and beyond in providing behind-the-scenes HR support to Metropolitan State University, Saint Paul College, and Saint Cloud State University.

Davis holds a master of arts degree in educational leadership and administration, and a bachelor of arts degree in communication and organizational management, both from Concordia University-St. Paul.

Davis assumes the position in July and will hold an open forum for the Minneapolis College community at the beginning of the academic year in August. This will be an in-person opportunity to hear her vision and engage with her in dialog.
