Exploratory Major: Mathematics
Purpose:
The School of Science and Mathematics offers awards through degrees in several educational programs. If you are not sure what you plan to major in, use this Exploratory Major guide to pick courses that count toward multiple different programs. This will allow you to begin earning credits toward a degree, even while you figure out which option is best for you.

Begin your education at Minneapolis College with these courses as they will count toward the Mathematics A.S. or the Mathematics A.A. Transfer Pathway:

MATH 1180
Calculus 1
- 5 credits
PHYS 1211
Physics for Science and Engineering 1
- 5 credits
* This course has a prerequisite of placement into MATH 1180 or completion of MATH 1120 or MATH 1125.
