The Power of YOU expands college access, improves student performance, and closes opportunity gaps.

What is the Power of YOU?

The Power of YOU is an academic support program that provides individual student advising, community, and financial support to recent high school graduates. We pair students with a College Navigator who will help them navigate college life. Our College Navigators have low caseloads which allows them to give individualized and high-quality support. We also support students with funding for purchasing textbooks and obtaining a bus pass as needed.

Am I Eligible to Apply?

Power of YOU is for recent high school graduates from Minnesota high schools who have a family income under $80,000. Applicants need to have graduated from high school no more than one year before starting Power of YOU. This means if you want to start in Fall 2024, you must have graduated high school between June 2023 and June 2024.

Current Minneapolis College students can apply during their first semester at the college and must still meet the above requirements.
