Minneapolis College’s Destination: Diploma to Degree (D3) program expands college access, improves student performance, and closes opportunity gaps. D3 allows students to work towards an associate degree for free while completing their high school diploma.
Support
As a D3 scholar, you will receive support from both your high school your your College Navigator. Your College Navigator supports your educational journey through advising and academic coaching.
- Connects students to college success resources
- Assists students in exploring and navigating college majors
- Coaches students through problem-solving related to coursework and college life
- Assists in course registration
- Explains college policies and procedures
- Helps co-create a plan for college after D3
Eligibility
To apply to become a D3 scholar, you will need to meet the following requirements:
- You are a current 10th, 11th, or 12th grade student
- You are enrolled in an approved ALC:
- Broadway
- Brooklyn Center ALC
- East View Academy
- Henry SWS (school within a school only)
- Loring Nicollet Alternative School
- Minneapolis Academy and Career Center (MACC)
- Menlo Park Academy
- MERC Alternative
- Metro Heights Academy
- Mohammedi Academy
- Mounds View ALC
- Roosevelt SWS (school within a school only)
- Southwest SWS (school within a school only)
- Takoda Prep
- PYC Arts and Tech High School
- VOA High School
- Wellstone SWS
- You are not attending another PSEO program in the same semester
Applying to Minneapolis College
Please fill out the following forms and applications with your high school counselor or dean:
- Apply to the college first. Be sure to list yourself as a current high school student.
- Complete the Applicant Information Survey
- Your high school counselor should email your transcript to d3@minneapolis.edu
- Your high school counselor should email your Notice of Student Registration Form (MDE Form) to d3@minneapolis.edu
- Attend a D3 orientation. You will receive an invitation to orientation from your high school counselor.
