Second Chance Hiring Event
April is Second Chance Month in Minnesota!
Second Chance Month seeks to increase public awareness about the challenges faced by people who have been involved with the criminal justice system and create opportunities for individuals, employers, congregations, and communities to extend second chances.
Please join us for a luncheon and panel discussion exploring best practices for second chance hiring. Local employers and justice-impacted workers will share their experiences and answer questions.
Wednesday, April 23, 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m. in H.1002
This event is sponsored by Career Services, TREC, Student Life, Minneapolis College Foundation, Partners for Reentry in Minnesota (PROWD) and Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED).
PROWD is administered by the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development. This initiative not only helps fill critical labor gaps but also contributes to inclusive economic growth, reduces recidivism and strengthens communities across Minnesota.
