Food Pantry
The Student Resource Center's Food Pantry is open and students are now able to access the food pantry up to two semesters past their last semester of enrollment.
In the interest of public health and safety, distribution will only take place via online orders.
Please note that the hours of distribution are now 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Orders will be available for pickup outside of T.1220 across from the Bookstore on Wednesdays, during those hours.
The Food Pantry needs Bags! Please bring your own reusable grocery bag if you have one. And, if you have some to share, please bring them to the Food Pantry as a donation.

The Food Pantry Order Form will close at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoons to allow for Food Pantry Staff to prepare for distribution on Wednesdays.

Food Pantry will be closed on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, and the following Wednesday, January 1, 2025.
Food Pantry will instead be open to distribute food on Tuesdays of those weeks:

211 Basic Needs Resource Hub
Minneapolis College and Minnesota State have partnered with United Way 211 to establish a statewide basic needs resource hub. The basic needs resource hub provides Minneapolis College students access to basic needs resources and support available on campus and in the community via phone, text, or chat 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
United Way 211 provides free and confidential health and human services information. They are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to connect you with the resources and information you need. If you’re looking for information about services available in your community for you or a loved one, they can help.
Text MNHELP to 898-211(TXT211) or call 211 (toll free at 1-800-543-7709) to speak with one of their highly trained information and referral specialists. Your call is completely confidential, and they have call menus in English, Spanish, and Hmong. Interpreters are also available for any language.

Childcare/Parenting
- The Student Parent Center is located within the Student Resource Center. This is a space for currently enrolled students and their children; this is not a drop-off center and students must be with their children at all times. - HelpMeGrow Minnesota provides resources for families to understand developmental milestones and learn if there are concerns.
- HelpMeConnect Navigator is a navigator connecting expectant families, families with young children (birth – 8 years old) and those working with families to services in their local communities that support healthy child development and family well-being.

Emergency Grants
Minneapolis College Emergency Grants are now accessible to enrolled students. This program is designed to help students experiencing unexpected financial challenges.
You can apply for an emergency grant through a simple electronic application process. Whether you're experiencing food insecurity, housing instability, transportation issues, or unexpected expenses, this grant program may be able assist you.
If you’re approved for an emergency grant, can choose how to receive funding, whether through direct deposit, virtual or physical gift cards, paper checks, or Zelle transfer – whatever method is most convenient for you.

Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) Grant
The Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) Fund helps students meet basic needs such as one-time emergency expenses, transportation costs, food, the cost of taking certification exams after graduation and many other things.

Mental Health
