Liz Pauly
I am on the faculty at Minneapolis College, where I direct the choirs, teach a variety of music courses and serve as a campus-wide faculty trainer in eLearning for our Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL).
Loving teaching as much as I love singing, I have been active as an educator, clinician, conductor and singer throughout most of my career. Much of my professional singing has been that of a choral singer, and as such I have sung and recorded with the Dale Warland Singers, the Oregon Bach Festival (including the 2000 Grammy™ award winning recording of Krzystof Penderecki's Credo), the Ensemble Singers of VocalEssence (formerly the Plymouth Music Series), the Robert Shaw Festival Chorus and The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra Chorale. I am currently a contracted singer with the Minnesota Chorale.
I hold a Doctorate of Musical Arts in Vocal Performance from the University of Minnesota, and additional degrees from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and Viterbo College.
While a good deal of my professional work is centered on what many call "classical music", I am passionate about the music of composers from the 20th century on. And when I come home, I listen to everything from Lena Chamamayan to Rhiannon Giddens.
