Four-Year HLC Assurance Review Successfully Completed
Minneapolis College has just completed its four-year Assurance Review with the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). The College was rated as meeting all criteria for accreditation with no monitoring or conditions. This successful review was the result of an effort coordinated by Institutional Effectiveness over the past 2 years that involved more than 60 contributors from divisions across the College.
Minneapolis College is on the Open Pathway for maintaining its accreditation with HLC, which consists of a 10-year review cycle focused on quality assurance and institutional improvement. The upcoming milestones for Minneapolis College include development of an institutional Quality Initiative (in FY2023) and a Comprehensive Evaluation for Reaffirmation in 2026-2027. This successful Assurance Review reflects the good work that the College is doing and serves as preparation for the next stages of review.
