Architectural Virtual Reality and Rendering

16-credit Certificate (complete in 2 semesters)

The Virtual Reality and Rendering certificate program will provide structured learning and skill development in the area of architectural virtual reality and 3D computer model rendering. Upon successful completion of the program, you will be able to render high-quality images, import an architectural computer model into a VR software environment, modify and enhance the environment and then set up and use VR devices to explore that environment. Topics will emphasize the use of these skills for design and marketing as well as constructability, coordination and collaboration with the architectural and construction industries.

Admission Requirements: Successful completion of a 2 credit course in REVIT with a B or better or having 500 hours actively using Revit in a work environment.

Bicycle Assembly and Repair Technician

The Minneapolis College Bicycle Assembly and Repair Technician Certificate will prepare students for immediate employment in technical positions in the bicycle industry with the skills required to assemble all types and brands of new bicycles for delivery to retail stores at a level of skill that ensured rider safety and the bicycle’s effective performance after sale.

You will learn how to maintain and repair work on all types, brands, and ages of bicycles. Students will also learn the daily and seasonal operations of service departments and how to implement and manage a repair queue, anticipate material, and labor needs for the shop.

Program Requirements

Environmental Science

Associate of Science Degree

The Environmental Science AS degree offers students the opportunity to complete an Associate of Science degree with course credits intended to transfer to the designated bachelor's degree programs.  Students will receive a broad training in foundational life science courses as well as course work in physical, analytical, and social sciences. Students will relate these principles and the results of hypothesis driven field and laboratory experiments to the natural environment. After completing the degree, students will be prepared to enter the workforce at a technician level or transfer to earn a BS and seek employment as a scientist, resource manager, or educator.
