Borrowing from Other Libraries
Unable to find what you are looking for? With our interlibrary loan service, you can request materials from other libraries. Requested items will be sent to our library where they can be borrowed and returned.

Many library resources require you to log in when you are off campus. Your StarID username and password allows you to access ebooks, articles and streaming media from home.
Academic and IT Help
Our dedicated group of student workers are here to help you with basic academic and IT questions. If we cannot answer your question, we will refer you to the Academic Success Center or Information Technology Services.
Faculty Services
Liaisons
Librarians work with faculty to integrate information literacy into class assignments, and to target the most effective library resources for assignments. Librarians are available to meet individually, in small groups, or as a department. Contact us to learn more or inquire about scheduling a meeting.
Course Reserves
Textbooks and supplemental course material may be placed on reserve in the Library. The items you provide will be stored at the our circulation desk and lent out to students securely. We offer multiple loan periods including a two hour in-library only option.
Linking to Resources
Linking to Library resources can be tricky. Learn how to format links to articles and more using our link tips.
Course Guides
Research guides for individual courses can be co-developed with and hosted through the library. These guides can contain specific library resources, supplemental course material and other electronic resources. View a selection of course guides which were created using our new LibGuide platform: AMIS 1350, PHIL 1115 and CMST 1000.
Culturally Responsive/Anti-Racist Pedagogy
This Library Guide has been built to help faculty access disciplinary-specific resources for embedding anti-racist, culturally responsive practices into their courses.
Open Education
The Library supports Open Education Resources (OER). The following sites provide courseware, textbooks and information on integrating OER into your courses.
Purchase Requests
Materials that would supplement or support an Minneapolis College course or assignment, especially those that would be used frequently, are good candidates for a request to purchase. Note that the library does not purchase required texts for classes.
