Next week, Minneapolis College is excited to welcome 50 high school students from Minneapolis Public Schools to Summer Spark, a dynamic and immersive campus experience designed to introduce students to the possibilities of college and career pathways. Through hands-on learning and real-world experiences, students will explore college life, financial aid, scholarships, PSEO, student support services, and career opportunities in high-demand fields. Throughout the 4-day camp, students will participate in the following schedule:

Day 1: Monday, June 15

  • Morning: Check-In/Campus Tour/Icebreaker Activities
  • Afternoon: Faculty Experiential Learning Sessions


Day 2: Tuesday, June 16

  • Morning: Field Trip to General Mills
  • Afternoon: Faculty Experiential Learning Sessions


Day 3: Wednesday, June 17

  • Morning: Field Trip to Xcel Energy 
  • Afternoon: Field Trip to Junior Achievement 
     

Day 4: Thursday, June 18

  • Morning: Field Trip to Minnehaha Falls
  • Afternoon: Closing Remarks
