Management Education Center Ribbon Cutting
The newly upgraded Management Education Center (MEC) will serve as a hub for the partnership between Minneapolis College and Metro State University, providing students with seamless educational pathways, direct access to the vibrant business community, and numerous professional opportunities.
Construction on the MEC project began in September 2023, with a comprehensive renovation of floors one, two, and four of the Old and New Harmon buildings, collectively known as the MEC. These renovations will provide a functionally efficient layout, reliable temperature-controlled environment, and sufficient office and classroom capacity to meet demands. This project remodeled the building, including critical updates to the mechanical and electrical infrastructure. The $20.5 million project was funded through the bonding bill passed during the 2023 legislative session, and building occupation is expected to begin early next year.
The ribbon-cutting event marks the completion of this transformative project and invites attendees to celebrate the renovated space with guided tours. This event is open to the campus community.
