Show your Decorating Flair and Impress Student Judges!
In alignment with the E and I priority of campus climate and culture, the Decorating Contest is designed to build a sense of community, provide stress relief, and most importantly promote and bring awareness to student services and resources available on campus.
Student judging will take place on October 31, 2–4 p.m.
Event details for participating offices:
- Students will receive a passport (in the Multipurpose Room, H.1002) listing the participating offices.
- Each office will provide students with handouts or brochures about their services/resources. Offering treats is optional!
- Students will vote on their favorite fall-themed office and the office with the most votes will be awarded a certificate of recognition from the ACE Center.
Please note:
- Costs for decorations and candy are covered at collective personal expense.
- Staff and faculty are encouraged to visit other offices.
- ACE is hosting a Student Costume Contest!
- Follow Safety Guidelines for decoration themes and student costume contest to prevent accidents and promote a secure environment on campus.
- Costumes, Accessories, and Props Policy - No Weapons
- Costumes and accessories that include or resemble weapons are strictly prohibited on campus. This includes, but is not limited to, firearms, knives, swords, imitation explosives, and any other items that could be perceived as dangerous or threatening. Such items must not be part of any Fall Festival costume or accessory worn on campus premises.
- Decoration and Costume Awareness of Cultural Sensitivity:
- Be mindful of your decorating theme and costume selection. Be respectful of different cultures, religions, and identities.
