Aeriel Ashlee is an award-winning author, healing-centered facilitator, and professional speaker with nearly 20 years of experience leading diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives in higher education. She currently serves as Associate Professor and Graduate Director of the College Counseling and Student Development program at St. Cloud State University, where she also served as the inaugural Belonging Mindset Faculty Fellow in the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning. Before entering the faculty ranks, Ashlee worked in student affairs, where she advocated for Students of Color and cultivated brave spaces for bold conversations. Her current scholarly priorities center pedagogies of belonging and the intersection of contemplative and liberatory practices in the academy. A proud Asian American womxn of color and fierce mamascholar, she approaches her work as deeply personal—prioritizing healing as integral to imagining and co-creating more liberatory futures in higher education and beyond.
