Apply for Graduation

Before you submit your graduation application, make sure to review your interactive degree audit in eServices and verify the following:

• Degree, major and catalog year are listed correctly
• Transcripts from other colleges/universities have been evaluated
• All academic petitions have been recorded on the degree audit
• The message at the top of your audit reads “All requirements completed or in progress” or “All requirements identified below have been met.”

Meet with your Academic Advisor to review your degree audit prior to submitting a graduation application and discuss any possible issues that may prevent program completion.

Submit a graduation application for each degree, diploma, or certificate you complete during the last semester of your program or as you complete certificate requirements.

You must apply by the deadline, otherwise your application will be processed for the next semester.

Complete your graduation application online.

You will need your StarID and password to access the online graduation application. If you are not able to log in to view and complete the form, contact us here to request the graduation application in an alternative format. 

Once you submit your graduation application, you won’t receive updates on the status of your application until the semester you applied for has ended. The best way to determine if you are on track to graduate is to meet with your academic advisor before you submit your application.

However, if we determine that you still have outstanding requirements to complete, you will be notified at your @go.minneapolis.edu email account. Every effort will be made to notify you before the deadline to add courses for the upcoming semester. 

How will I know if I graduated?

You will be notified of the outcome of your final graduation review at your @go.minneapolis.edu email account approximately 4-6 weeks after the end of the semester for which you have applied. 

When will my degree/diploma/certificate be posted to my transcript?

Most awards are posted within 4 weeks of the end of the semester or term. To see if your award has been posted, check your transcript (academic record) in eServices. Your transcript is the official record of any awards you have earned.
