What it is
In the Fashion Design Technologies program, you will receive extensive hands-on training in design, manufacturing, alteration and fitting by industry-experienced instructors and gain a sense of personal accomplishment. The program is the only one of its kind in the upper Midwest and will teach you to produce finished, professional garments from pattern to final product.

Program Learning Outcomes
- Execute product development and design processes that honor equity, diversity, inclusion, and sustainability
- Proficiently and safely operate and maintain common apparel industry industrial equipment
- Identify improper garment fit in all body types and resolve by implementing corrective adjustments
- Effectively communicate design concepts, create original fashion designs with hand and digital rendering techniques, and embrace diverse cultural influences, body types, and perspectives within the design process
- Draft, manipulate, and modify garment patterns manually and digitally
- Design and construct a series of garments with foundational techniques, industrial equipment, and innovative technologies.
