Returning Students
A returning student is someone who has completed the ARC intake process and has received accommodations in the current or previous semesters at Minneapolis College.
Each semester students registered with our office must request new Letters of Accommodation for their courses. Select the semester renewal link below and follow the instructions to submit your request. If prompted to log in to your Microsoft Account, use starid@go.minnstate.edu.

How do I request an alternative textbook?
If you have been approved for an Alternative Textbook, you can submit your alternative textbook request via a webform.
What you need to do:
- Go to the Minneapolis College Store
- Look up your Semester courses to find your textbooks.
- If the textbooks are not available to you in the format you need for access, gather the following information for each textbook you need:
- Title
- Authors name
- ISBN-10/ISBN-13 Number
- Name of Publisher
- Year Published
- Edition Number
-
Remember you must purchase a standard copy of the textbook and provide us a receipt so we can obtain an alternative textbook for your educational needs.
- Go to the Alternative Textbook Webform Link
- The first screen is the policy and terms for Alternative Textbooks. You must read and accept the policies and terms before you can enter your Alternative Textbook Request.
- The second screen is the request form. Follow the instructions on the screen.
- Lastly, you will need to upload your receipts. If you do not have your receipts available when you fill out the form, you can provide them to us at a later date. But we will not be able to provide you a copy of the alternative textbook, if you do not provide us a receipt indicating you have purchased a standard copy.
- We will begin to work on your Alternative Textbook Request once it is received. Please know that it can take up to 2 weeks to obtain a copy of the alternative textbook, and for some alternative textbooks, it can take 4 to 6 weeks.
Please email the Accessibility Resource Center if you have any questions.

I am a returning student who attended Minneapolis College, what are my next steps?
If you attended Minneapolis College in the past and have accessibility concerns, you will need to meet with an Accessibility Specialist to discuss accessibility barriers and establish accommodations for the current semester.
If you attended Minneapolis College in the past and had accommodations, you will need to meet with an Accessibility Specialist again to establish accommodations for the current semester.
