Assess Your Strengths: Gallup Clifton Strengths
The Gallup CliftonStrengths assessment is a tool to assess your innate talents. After you take the 30-minute assessment, you will be able to download a report with your Top 5 Clifton Strengths and complete a coaching session with a Career Services staff member to practice talking about your talents and advocating for yourself in work, school, and personal settings. To take this assessment, please email Career Services to schedule a Clifton Strengths Appointment and receive an access code for the Gallup Website.
Assess Your Interests: Strong Interest Assessment
The Strong Interest Assessment is a tool that measures the similarity of your interests against individuals in over 100 different careers and allows you to download a report that shares your top 10 careers of similar interest. This is a great assessment for students who are completely undecided on a major and want a starting point for further research. To take this assessment, create an account on Elevate, register to access the Strong Interest Inventory and take your assessment. Please email Career Services to schedule a Strong Interest Appointment to receive your results and complete a 1-hour coaching session with a Career Services Staff member.
Assess Your Personality: Myers Briggs Type Indicator
The MBTI Assessment is a personality inventory that is meant to help you understand how you see the world and interact with others. Personality types are measured as extrovert/introvert, intuition/sensing, feeling/thinking, and judging/perceiving. To take this assessment, create an account on Elevate, register to access the MBTI and take your assessment. Assess Your Values: Life Values Inventory and Work Values Matcher
Your personal values are the lenses through which you view yourself and your world. As values develop, they are crystalized and prioritized to form a values system. In essence, they form your own “personal truth” from which self-esteem, fulfillment, and resilience develop. To take the Life Values Inventory Assessment, create an account on this website.
