Mission and Vision

The LGBTQIA2S+ Student Resource Center is dedicated to fostering an inclusive, affirming, and supportive environment for Minneapolis College students of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions.

We aim to:

  • Empower LGBTQIA2S+ students by providing access to resources, advocacy, and leadership opportunities.
  • Promote education and awareness to cultivate respect, equity, and allyship within the campus community.
  • Celebrate the diverse experiences and histories of LGBTQIA2S+ individuals while addressing systemic barriers and inequities.
  • Provide a safe and welcoming space for students to connect, express themselves authentically, and build community.
  • Offer resources, services, and support for personal growth, academic success, and resilience in the face of challenges.
  • Collaborate with campus and community partners to create a culture of respect, understanding, and allyship.

Our center is a safe and welcoming space where every student is valued and supported in their journey to thrive academically, socially, and personally. Together, we build a community rooted in connection, resilience, and pride.

1st Annual Lavendar Graduation Save the Date

The Minneapolis College Lavender Graduation is a ceremonial time for family, friends, and allies to honor LGBTQIA2S+ student achievements as they graduate. The ceremony provides a supportive and celebratory space for LGBTQIA2S+ students to recognize their unique journeys and contributions within the Minneapolis College community.
