Career Services Walk-ins

Fall Walk-Ins:

Walk-ins for Fall Semester begin the week of September 9 and will end by December 6.

Tuesdays: 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

No Walk-ins on Tuesday, November 19 and Tuesday, December 6.

Fridays: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Last Day of Friday walk-ins is Friday, November 8.

Discover your natural talents, core values, and interests through the numerous self-assessments we provide free of charge. Our assessments include the following: CliftonStrengths, CliftonStrengths Core Values, Strong Interest Inventory, and Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. Schedule an appointment with a Career Services staff member today to learn which assessment(s) can help you learn more about yourself, so you can find that perfect career.

Explore Occupations

Explore occupations and industries that interest you through numerous career exploration websites. We help you research Minneapolis College’s majors and programs, along with their associated careers to find one that fits you best. Some career exploration websites we utilize are O’net OnLine, Occupational Outlook Handbook, and My Next Move.

Find Guidance

Speak with professionals in different industries to learn more about occupations and potential employment opportunities through our employer partner connections. Career Services connects you with employers for informational interviews, networking opportunities, employer panels, company site visits, and career/job fairs.

Gain Experience

Access work-related opportunities to gain relevant experience in your chosen career field. We help you find and prepare for volunteer, student employment, part-time and full-time positions related to your major. Career Services stays connected with employers throughout the Twin Cities and the surrounding areas who want to work with Minneapolis College students and graduates. Schedule an appointment with a Career Services staff member to discover potential opportunities within your major/career field today.

Pursue Employment

Take action to prepare for the next step of life beyond college by coming to Career Services. We offer assistance with resume and cover letter development, along with interview preparation through mock interviews and the Big Interview, a free software program that provides online interview practice.
