President Pierce Announces Retirement

Dear Minneapolis College Community,

After much reflection and with deep gratitude, I have shared with the Minnesota State Chancellor my decision to retire as president of Minneapolis College, effective June 30, 2027. 

Serving this remarkable college has been one of the greatest honors of my professional life. Every day, I am inspired by the resilience, talent, and determination of our students, and by the extraordinary dedication of our faculty, staff, administrators, alumni, donors, and community partners. Over the past 10 years, working together, we have strengthened our commitment to student success, advanced equity, embraced innovation, and reaffirmed the transformative power of education. 

While I look forward to my next chapter, I know Minneapolis College will remain in my heart. The strong foundation we have built together will continue to support future generations of students and the communities we serve. 

Over the coming year, I remain fully committed to leading the College and ensuring a thoughtful and seamless leadership transition. There is still important work ahead, and I look forward to accomplishing it together. 

Thank you for the privilege of serving alongside you. I will always be grateful for this community and for the opportunity to be part of its extraordinary journey.
