Guided by Purpose

The City of Minneapolis is experiencing a period of deep turmoil. At the same time, people are showing up for one another in powerful ways. This commitment to “showing up” reflects who we are at Minneapolis College, and it’s why our mission matters more than ever.

Founded on the values of access and equity, our college was built to provide access to education for those who had been excluded. Today we remain focused on creating opportunity through education, opening doors to all who seek a place of stability, learning, and possibility. Rooted in our city, we are committed to serving this community with purpose and care.

The following video was created as part of a Board of Trustees project to reflect on the uniqueness of institutions across our system. From the beginning, Minneapolis College has been defined by our clear and consistent purpose: to expand education’s opportunity to those who need it most.
