Give to the Max…and Deliah, Kia and Kristine too
It’s Minnesota’s annual giving holiday! Thursday, November 15 is the day to showcase your “Minnesota Nice” by donating to the nonprofits that touch your heart. We hope we’re one of your favorites. Please consider investing in students like Deliah, Kia, and Kristine (pictured below). All three have faced difficult challenges but that didn’t set them back. Thanks to the Minneapolis College Foundation’s support, a financial burden was lifted from their full plates. With attention now focused on studies instead of finances, Deliah has attracted Ivy League offers to continue her studies, Kia will be transferring to the U of M in January and Kristine has gone from being homeless to earning her associate’s degree.
So many of our students face difficult roadblocks including housing insecurity, food uncertainty, addiction recovery, undocumented immigrant status, and most predominantly, financial hardship. Because of your generosity, the Minneapolis College Foundation provides over $500,000 to big dreamin’ students on their pathway to success every year.
Your Give to the Max donation will help us remove barriers to higher education by providing scholarships and emergency assistance to students trying to beat the odds. Every bright future needs a strong foundation. Thank you for investing in Minneapolis College students!
