A Journey in Public Service
KENDAL KILLIAN
My Minneapolis College Story
I made my first real progress towards my degree at Minneapolis College in between political campaigns in 2002 and 2004. In 2005 I became Manager of Development and External Affairs in the College Advancement office while continuing my studies. Ahead of the 2006 campaign I joined my union - MAPE - as political affairs coordinator, based on my political science studies, MAPE activism and involvement in campus voter drives.
I later graduated from Metro State University and recently earned my Masters in Public Administration at the University of Pennsylvania and serve as the Executive Director of the National Public Pension Coalition.
Some People I Would Like to Thank
Political Science instructor Lena Jones and longtime MAPE Local 1304 leader Russell Raczkowski.
