Join ACE in celebrating the rich cultural traditions and diversity of Asian, Pacific Islander, and Desi American communities at Cultures in Bloom, an APIDA Heritage Month event.

Explore cultural booths representing 15 unique cultures, each offering a window into the heritage, history, and art that shape APIDA identities.

Enjoy captivating performances from the Wattanak Dance Troupe and the Minnesota Indonesian Society, showcasing traditional dance and storytelling.

The event will also feature Dr. Kim Park Nelson, a scholar in Asian American studies, who will speak on Immigration, Racial Visibility, and Asian Minnesotans. In this presentation, Dr. Park Nelson will briefly discuss the histories of Asian American immigration and racial formation and how those processes have affected the Asian American community and identity, before turning to the particular history of Asian American groups in the state of Minnesota.
