Enjoy captivating performances from the Wattanak Dance Troupe and the Minnesota Indonesian Society, showcasing traditional dance and storytelling.
The event will also feature Dr. Kim Park Nelson, a scholar in Asian American studies, who will speak on Immigration, Racial Visibility, and Asian Minnesotans. In this presentation, Dr. Park Nelson will briefly discuss the histories of Asian American immigration and racial formation and how those processes have affected the Asian American community and identity, before turning to the particular history of Asian American groups in the state of Minnesota.
