Please read the following information carefully.

If admitted to Minneapolis College, I agree to:

  1. Enroll as a full-time student in at least 12 credit hours every Fall and Spring semester
(unless authorized to take less.) Summer enrollment is optional.
  2. Purchase the mandatory student health insurance through Minneapolis College before
registering for classes or by the stated deadline. I understand that this cost may increase
throughout my time at Minneapolis College. For current amount, please contact the International
    Student Advisor.
  3. Pay tuition for each semester. I understand that books, supplies, living expenses,
transportation, and the required health insurance are extra expenses not included in tuition.
  4. Only accept on-campus employment or properly authorized off-campus employment. As
an F-1 student, I understand that there is no option for off-campus work during my first two
semesters, and that eligible on-campus work opportunities are available but not guaranteed. I
understand that there are significant restrictions for off-campus employment and permission must
be received from the International Student Advisor in advance.
  5. Maintain my F-1 status. I understand that I must be aware of my F-1 status while at
Minneapolis College and follow regulations. This includes but is not limited to: always having a valid
passport, registering full time each Fall and Spring semester, informing my International Student
Advisor of any phone and address changes within 10 days, purchasing the health insurance by the
stated deadline, and only engaging in authorized work.
  6. Complete the online International Student Orientation. I understand that I must access the
orientation via the D2L learning management system and complete all five modules.
  7. Arrive during the 30-day window on my I-20 form or risk falling out of status. I understand
that failure to arrive and/or start classes on-time may mean deferment of my admission to the next
semester and may require me to leave the U.S. and return for the next semester. (New Students
    only.)
  8. Provide proof of immunizations for measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) and for tetanus and
diphtheria (Td) within my first semester, if not already received. I understand that my registration for
my second semester is not possible until I provide this proof.

Thank you!
