The Fall Office Decorating Contest is back by popular demand! Do your bewitching best and create some skele-fun designs! 

Judging will take place on Thursday, October 31, 2–4 p.m. (ACE program will be stationed at T.1400).

What to do/know: 

  • Complete the  Office Decorating Contest form to participate and/or collaborate with ACE on event
  • Decorate office space with fall-themed decorations
  • Provide students with handouts or brochures about services/resources, treats are optional
  • Students will receive a passport listing participating offices
  • Voting is open to students and employees this year!  Note: employees may not vote for their own office
     

Be aware of recommendations to prioritize the safety and well-being of all. 

Decoration Safety 
DO NOT: 

  • Hang items from the ceiling or sprinkler heads/pipes
  • Block exits, aisles or work areas
  • Use ladders
  • Bring items from home
  • Black out or cover exterior windows
  • Decorate in stairwells or fire exits
  • Climb on office furniture or other items
  • Nail, staple, or tack cords/decorations to walls/ceiling 

DO:

  • Use flame retardant materials
  • Use UL approved decorative lighting and turn off daily
     

Prohibited Items

  • Glass decorations
  • Flame/candles
  • Fog machines
  • Outdoor decorative lighting 
  • Extension cords
  • Flammable decorations 


In alignment with the E and I priority of campus climate and culture, the decorating contest is designed to build a sense of community, provide stress relief, and most importantly promote and bring awareness to student services and resources available on campus.
