AME Breakfast Table: Patrick Troup
African American Education Empowerment (AME) presents:
The AME Breakfast Table— with the Vice President of Student Affairs, Patrick Troup
Our objective is to introduce/connect African American students to a distinguished faculty or staff member (over breakfast) to discuss relevant topics and explore engagement opportunities.
The distinguished guest will talk about who they are, what they do, and how their work supports student success at Minneapolis College. Additionally, the guest at the AME Breakfast Table will entertain prepared questions about race, racism, anti-racism, equity, and inclusion, as well as discuss how such topics are engaged by their campus office, department, or program.
Lastly, students will be introduced to the programming opportunities provided by AME this semester.
Agenda:
- 11 to 11:15 a.m. — breakfast and getting-to-know-you conversation around the AME table
- 11:15 to 11:45 a.m. — presentation by distinguished guest
- 11:45 a.m. to 12 p.m. — questions and comments from gathered audience
