New Spirit Mark Voting
The new Minneapolis College spirit mark is intended to be a fun extension of our brand used as a focal point for student and community pride.
Over the past year, the Spirit Mark Working Group has collected suggestions and feedback to narrow the options for a new mark down to 2 choices: Minneapolis College City Lights or Minneapolis College Skyliners.
Students, faculty and staff are invited to place their votes beginning on September 9. Current students who submit their vote by September 23 will be entered into a drawing to win fabulous prizes, including a $100 gift certificate for the College Store!
City Lights or Skyliners?
MINNEAPOLIS COLLEGE SKYLINERS
The name Skyliners conveys our unique location and connection to downtown Minneapolis and identifies us as an urban school. The Minneapolis skyline is a recognizable part of the city which can be seen from our campus. The word Skyliners invokes images of Minneapolis College students reaching for the sky to achieve their goals.
MINNEAPOLIS COLLEGE CITY LIGHTS
An indication of our urban location, City Lights identifies the College as a light for the community and for a brighter future. Light itself can show us the path forward and be used to signify knowledge or achievement. Minneapolis College students are the light of our institution, shining in the city.
