Help us Celebrate Give to the Max Day on November 14
The Minneapolis College Foundation’s favorite day of the year is almost here. What day is that? Give to the Max Day! If you’re not familiar, GTMD is a statewide event that encourages Minnesotans to show off their niceness by making an online donation to their favorite nonprofit.
We hope your favorite nonprofit is…us!
Mark your calendar for THIS Thursday, November 14 or better yet, participate in early giving through November 13.
Did you know that an estimated 30% of Minneapolis College students self-identify as homeless, highly mobile or housing insecure? In a class of 30, that’s 9 students who are pursuing their academic dreams while facing extreme uncertainty. Without a stable home, many are left with additional questions like, “Where will my next meal come from?” We find that unacceptable and I’m sure you do too.
That’s why we’re directing all GTMD donations to Students Against Hunger and Homelessness (SAHH)/Amy’s Pantry, student led organizations on campus tasked with addressing the housing and food insecurity that keeps too many Minneapolis College students from reaching their full potential. Together, we can stock the Pantry, ensuring every student is full and focused.
The Minneapolis College Foundation provides scholarships and emergency assistance to students in need. We need your help to continue offering financial assistance to deserving, underestimated students so they can pursue their academic dreams. They are tomorrow’s community leaders, poets, scientists, artists, tradesmen & tradeswomen who will contribute to the vitality of the Twin Cities.
Thank you for helping us eliminate financial barriers to higher education. You make it possible and we make it happen.
