Call for Proposals for Spring Recovery Conference
The Spring Recovery Conference coordinators are now accepting proposals for 45–50-minute break-out sessions.
A collaboration between Minneapolis College and Metro State University, the Spring Recovery Conference will be held Thursday, April 7, and Friday, April 8, both virtual and in person.
“The Spring Recovery Conference will bring people together from across the recovery field and will highlight successful recovery programs, efforts and collaborations,” said Tara Martinez, Director of Student Life. “Our five-year-old Collegiate Recovery Program looks to expand over the next five years, and I hope conference attendees will be inspired to take their support of Collegiate Recovery Programs to the next level.”
Martinez said that the conference goals are to bring awareness to addiction, recovery and support college or universities studies and to bring together bright minds on a wide range of subjects to foster learning, create conversation and inspire in a culturally responsive way.
The conference will be open to professionals in education, addiction and recovery and other fields as well as students in higher education institutions. Presenters external to Minnesota State Colleges and Universities will be paid.
If you are interested in presenting, please submit your proposal by Friday Feb. 18. Selected speakers will be notified by Monday, Feb. 28.
The Spring Recovery Conference is made possible due to a collaborative grant funded by the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system (MinnState). For more information, please email Collegiate.Recovery@metrostate.edu.
