Join the American Indian Success (AIS) program and Latinos Unidos for College and Higher Achievement (LUCHA) for a Night of Culture and Music.

Don’t miss out on this special night of rhythm and beats, showcasing our communities practicing resistance through art and tradition!


Schedule: 

  • 5 p.m: Welcome (first floor of Helland)
  • 5:30–6:30 p.m: Dinner in Helland Lobby area (near Beacons)
  • 6:30–6:45 p.m: Transition to Theater (F.1400)
  • 6:45 p.m: Native American Singing, Drumming and Dancing by lead singer Keveon Kingbird of Battle River Drum Group and his son Keveon Jr.
  • 7:30 p.m: Musical performance by María Isa Pérez-Vega
    • Pérez-Vega is a Boricua (BO-REE-KWA) singer, songwriter, actress, rapper, activist, youth worker and international recording artist born in Minnesota and raised in St. Paul’s West Side barrio.
