The 2025 Commencement Ceremony will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday, May 19 at the Minneapolis Convention Center.
If you would like to attend the Commencement Ceremony,
you must RSVP for the Graduation Ceremony and order your cap and gown * by April 8.
*Make sure you complete your cap & gown order by creating an account or continuing to checkout as a guest.
2025 Cap & Gowns can be picked-up on these dates -
- May 7 GradFest | 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. in the Helland Student Center
- May 13 | 2 - 6 p.m. in the Helland Student Center
FAQs About Commencement
What is the difference between Graduation and Commencement?
Graduation is the completion of all degree, diploma, or certificate requirements as recorded on an official transcript. Students must submit a Graduation Application to the Registration and Records Office in order to have their record reviewed for program completion.
Commencement is the ceremony to celebrate the completion of a degree, diploma, or certificate. Students who apply for graduation are invited to participate in the Commencement Ceremony.

Accessibility at the Ceremony
The Minneapolis Convention Center is accessible to people using wheelchairs and other mobility aids. Sign language (ASL) interpreters will be present to interpret the ceremony.
